Observation start time: 08:00:00 Observation end time: 14:30:00 Total observation time: 6.5 hours
Official Counter: John Mercer
Observers: Alan Simon, Judy Mayer
Visitors: Carol and Kevin Lapslay and Karen Spangler
Weather: Cool, temperatures in the mid 40's climbing to 60, with a totally blue sky and strong winds mostly between NW and N
Raptor Observations: Between 2 EDT and 3:30, there were 5 eagles but only two were counted, an adult Bald and an Unknown Eagle. Local birds put on a good show. Birds not counted were 4 Red-tails, 2 Cooper's Hawks, 1 Red-shouldered and 3 Bald Eagles
Non-raptor Observations: A flock of Double-crested Cormorant and a flock of Pine Siskins flew by. Also a Belted Kingfisher heading north. Thanks to Judy and Alan for their help, it was a difficult sky but we were able to find birds in it.
Predictions: Another mostly sunny day, warmer and less blustery with winds mostly from the south. A nice day for Trick or Treating. ======================================================================== Report submitted by John Mercer (<mercer1135...>) Rose Tree Park information may be found at: www.rtphawkwatch.org
