Subject: IBET Montrose American White Pelican, 10/21 p.m.
Hardly rare in Illinois these days but still unusual along the Chicago
lakefront, I saw an American White Pelican flying south high over
Montrose Point today, October 21. I’ve seen only a handful of AWPE at
Montrose in my 40+ years birding there, so this was exciting to me.

Sometimes when you look up you see good things.
