Subject: [MDBirding] Black-headed Gull DC
The Georgetown waterfront seems to have acquired its own “Popcorn.” A Black-headed Gull has been hanging out here—yesterday and again today. However, since this is Georgetown, rather than naming her Popcorn 2.0, I think Rosemary Focaccia, or “Rosie,” is more appropriate. Identified from a mislabeled eBird photo and relocated by Frank Hawkins. She (or he) is a juvenile and hangs with the Mallards at base of stairs adjacent to park.
