Official Counter: Brian Rusnica

Observers:

Visitors:
None, one of the quietest days I've seen at Watatic.

Weather:
Morning: cool but humid, fog and low clouds making visibility difficult.
Summit completely encased in cloud and mist from 10:30-11:30am ET.
Afternoon: increasing cloud ceiling but overcast conditions prevailed. Did
not see the summit of Pack Monadnock all day, didn't see Wachusett until
3pm ET. Winds were very light from the NE all day.

Raptor Observations:
No significant Broad-winged Hawk movement yet again today. A handful of
Sharp-shinned Hawks were moving, with two of them buzzing the decoy owl.

Non-migrant Raptors:
1 Broad-winged Hawk
3 Red-shouldered Hawk
2 Red-tailed Hawk
40 Turkey Vulture
1 Barred Owl (heard only)

Non-raptor Observations:
10 Common Raven
4 Ruby-throated Hummingbird
4 Dark-eyed Junco
2 Eastern Phoebe
5 Chimney Swift
1 Double-crested Cormorant

Predictions:
Warmer, drier, light winds. Should not be hard to beat today's total, and
still waiting on a significant jailbreak of Broad-wings.
