Weather: (So much for the "mostly sunny" forecast!) Winds: From NE thru most of the day with slight shift to ENE in the last 2 hours. Morning definitely chilly with breeze at 3-8mph/5-13kph all morning with infrequent gusts early in the 12-15m/19-24k range. At noon wind dropped to 0-5mph/0-8kph for rest of the watch. Temperature slowly climbed from 50F/10C to 57/14 at the end. Cloud cover 100% all morning and, generously, maybe 95% in the afternoon as a slight brightening in the NE occurred. Visibility 10 mi./ 16 km. all day.
Raptor Observations: Watch was 7 hrs. 8am - 4pm. From 8-10am we enjoyed a nice rush of close falcons. From 10am 'til noon the BE's and BW's took over; then the winds backed off and the pace slowed somewhat; also the birds were frequently more distant. OS 8;BE 19;NH 1;SS 12;NH 1;BW 52;AK 12;ML 8;UB 2;UR 10. Total 131 migrating.

Non-raptor Observations: Monarchs: 13 Common Raven 6; Cedar Waxwings 19; Chimney Swifts 3; Towhees, Juncos and others sounding from the shrubs.
