Weather: Light wind 0-3mph/0-5kph at start and most of day; exception was the 11am hr when a front raised speed to 5-8mph/8-13kph. Other similar gusts thru the day were very brief and almost once an hour. Direction wavered WSW-SW-W SW .. Noted the gusts would stop whatever was moving or playing; the lulls, however, quickly brought up the locals and the the migrants. Temp 63F/17C at start and 75/24 at the end. Cloud cover 50% at start and 70% at closing time. Visibility 10mi./16km. all day though haziest in first 1/2 hour.
Non-raptor Observations: Local raptors: 10 TV; CH 1; 1 RS imm.; 8 RT; 2 ML; 1 PG. Non raptors: 4 Common Raven; 19 Chimney Swift; 4 Tree Swallows. Today the feisty juv. Merlins chose not to approach the Peregrine; did hassle the Redtails for their fun.
