At a low tide from Boxcar Park, several Common Terns we’re flying singly by. From the boat launch, the Caspian Terns could be seen lounging at water’s edge to the north and , of course, several Ospreys on their post-topped nests. But most remarkable is the Great Blue Heron rookery on pilings to the east of the large parking area (north side). Perhaps the gray birds have some camouflage, as they match the gray color of the pilings.
