Subject: [sbcobirding] Coastal Black-chinned Sparrow
Betsy and I hiked the Baron Ranch trail this morning and had a Black-chinned Sparrow singing on a chaparral-covered hillside at approximately 34°28’ 39” N, 120° 06’ 57” W. This is just over .5 miles from the ocean. We did not see the bird, but we heard the unmistakable song several times from the ranch road/trail.
