Subject: [ia-bird] migration tonight
When I left work tonight after 9, it was 48 degrees, with mist and an
east wind at 10-12 mph, and a surprising number of thrushes and
associated nocturnal migrants were calling overhead. Not sure if these
birds have been here and are trying to leave, or have left from
somewhere and are second-guessing their decision, but it doesn't seem
like a good night to try moving long distance.
