> Comments: Though it was very warm by this point, we continued on the grand tour of west central Saratoga County. When I taught at Galway Schools, I became aware of Consaul Rd and while the caretaker was alive, I had access to a hunting camp that has a dirt road that meets Consaul. Alas, I dare not venture there now, but even in mid afternoon, we saw and heard a fair number of birds. The most striking was a male Scarlet Tanager that was sitting 20 feet up in a tree behind us in full sun. It flew around in the marshy woods, but was always in sight. I watched it check and spider web and grab a bug. The road is with a return trip.
