I do not have many blackbirds around either, saw one cowbird in the yard on the weekend and when walking by the nearby beaver bog there was one male redwing displaying/calling.

While everyone is posting their FOYs this is a post about a negative. For the first time in probably 25-30 years I have not had a flock of 100-200 mixed grackles, redwings and cowbirds. In fact I have yet to have a single redwing or grackle, one loan cowbird.
