Official Counter: Jerry McWilliams

Observers: Roger Donn

Visitors:
Bernie O'Connor and Roger Donn assisted with the count. Lots of visitors
including Bob Mulvihill with a bus load of about 35 birders from the
Pittsburgh area, Julie Dell and three of her birding students, Linda
McWilliams, Ruth Swaney, Bob Grubbs, and Sam Stull. This was a good day to
hand out some hawk watch flyers designed and made by HMANA.

Weather:
Variably cloudy with SW wind to 10 mph until mid-day then switching to NW
to 5 mph. Low 70s F

Raptor Observations:
An improvement with vulture movement over the past several days, but still
a poor showing of hawks. The wind shift change shut the flight down.

Non-raptor Observations:
Double-crested Cormorant--40, Red-headed Woodpecker--1, Cliff Swallow--1,
Chimney Swift--6, Eastern Kingbird--1, Blue Jay--83, Yellow-rumped
Warbler--1, Yellow Warbler--1, American Goldfinch--5, Common Green
Darner--5

Predictions:
Cloudy and mild with SSE wind until around mid-day when the winds again
shift around to the north. Maybe a trickle of birds in the morning before
the wind direction change.
