Subject: [birders] Dolph: large development proposed for north end
To all those birders now enjoying the birds and lakes of Dolph Park, please be aware that a 95 unit senior housing development has been proposed to abut the north end of First Sister Lake on a currently undeveloped 3.5 acre parcel. Walking the trail in search of the Kirtland’s today, just north of Porter Street, one can easily see the flagging tape associated with the development. The site is zoned single-family residential, but rezoning has been requested. Anyone with concerns about this development who wishes to express them can write to the City Planning Commission or can connect with those in the park neighborhood opposed to the Lockwood Development.
