Weather: Clear skies became mostly cloudy; winter weather again! -
43 - 55 degrees, with the temperature dipping when the clouds
rolled in; excellent visibility; strong winds mostly from the WNW
14-20 mph gusting to 30 mph

Raptor Observations: Steady flight until the cloud cover was
almost complete, then mostly a parade of Turkey Vultures

Non-raptor Observations: Purple Gallinule seen again in the
morning with a reappearance in the afternoon. Five Little Blue
Herons; two Spotted Sandpipers; western and eastern Palm Warblers;
40+ Yellow-rumped Warblers; a few Bank Swallows; a flock of 16

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake
Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are
from the southwest.
