Weather: Variable cloudiness; 52-75 degrees; a little fog early,
then fair visibility; winds light for most of the day, then
becoming southeasterly 7-16 mph, gusting to 21 mph.

Raptor Observations: A steady flight for the first half of the
count; then a lighter flight; 11 species; many birds high and
difficult to spot when the skies were more clear; a Common Raven
hitting on a Bald Eagle.

Non-raptor Observations: Purple Gallinule seen again in the
morning; two Common Ravens; Red-throated Loon

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake
Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are
from the southwest.
