Trapped loon

Yesterday Wayne fFsher and an assistant went out to try to catch the Canton Loon in Wayne’s canoe and couldn’t come close to catching it. He felt several canoes together might succeed. Long handled nets required. If someone can organize this, it would be great. let me know. Sherri Smith 734 994-6287.

> As of this evening the loon is still in the small retention pond behind the Townplace Suites by Marriott (this is a slight correction to the hotel name that was on yesterdays post by Wayne). The hotel is on the NE corner of Ford and Haggerty Roads in Canton, MI across the street from the Canton IKEA. We watched him for an hour and he was active, dove a lot and called several times. From 7 pm to 7:20 pm he made 9 vigorous attempts at flying out of the pond. He ran out of room and abandoned all of the attempts before getting airborne.
