Our bluebirds, that've been with us all winter, built their 1st nest of 2018, on Wed. the 11th. 10 days behind their usual start date. On Saturday, the 14th, we saw their first egg, also 10-12 days later than usual. Freezing rain & strong E. winds, 39 deg. this afternoon

Good birds, Jim. Ruby and Golden-crowned Kinglets in my yard today, and Bluebirds and Carolina Wrens trying to chip their dried mealworms out from under 1/4 inch of ice. Guess I'm sticking around in this ice storm so as to not risk certain demise
Good birding, everyone!
