On this warm morning, a Mourning Cloak butterfly was flitting about while Eastern Phoebes called. Highlights included a Yellow-rumped Warbler in crisp bright spring plumage, a Horned Grebe, Tree Swallows, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and an Eastern Meadowlark with a brilliant yellow breast. And the Spring Peepers were enthusiastically singing their chorus last night.

Good birding, Dan Weeks
