Observation start time: 07:30:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 5.5 hours

Official Counter: Jerry McWilliams

Observers: Ken Felix

Visitors:
Joe Susi, Carol Allen, and her friend Ray, stopped by to watch for a while.
Ken Felix assisted with the count during the final hour.

Weather:
Clear early gradually becoming cloudy to mostly cloudy. A good stiff wind
from the SW all day with occasional shifts to the west. Still cold, but
warmer than yesterday.

Raptor Observations:
My predictions didn't hold. Even though there were more hawks today than
in quite some time, there were fewer than expected. Most were flying quite
high, so it is likely some were missed. No hawks for the first couple of
hours. Even the vulture numbers were not impressive. I took a couple
hour break when heavy clouds and drizzle arrived, then back out between
1400 to 1500 EST.

Non-raptor Observations:
Wood Duck-2, Common Merganser-1, Common Loon-1, Double-crested
Cormorant-15, Great Blue Heron-4, a few American Crows, Belted
Kingfisher-2, Eastern Phoebe-1, many flocks of mixed blackbirds.

Predictions:
Warmer with strong gusty SSW winds and rain likely in the morning. A
flight might materialize if the rain ends.
