Weather: Even gray skies early with some break-away allowing the hazy sun to pop through. Calm winds to light and variable. Barely getting above freezing.
Raptor Observations: A carbon copy of the last couple of days with nearly all vultures moving low and slowly along the shoreline. The flight petered out after 1045 EST.
Non-raptor Observations: A group of five Sandhill Cranes cruised east right over us, only to return going the other way over the lake about an hour later. Others birds in motion were Canada Goose-3, Double-crested Cormorant-19, Common Loon-2, Eastern Bluebird-1, American Robin-20, several small flocks of mixed blackbirds.
Predictions: A bit warmer with some south wind early becoming westerly later. Maybe some birds, but Wednesday holds promise for a decent push of birds with a consistent southwest wind. Much warmer on Friday, but winds more easterly.
