There were about 150 Tubdra Swans at their usual spot at Vadis
(exit 55, Hwy 26) 2/24. While waiting for the sunset on the railroad
tracks to the south of them I saw an adult Golden Eagle flying east
on the north side of Hwy 26, then turn north towards Mountaindale.
This is the commonest time to see them here, but Dennis Manzer
and I both saw an adult GOEA near Mountaindale in May about 10
years ago. Wash. Co. listers take note-- the best excuse the Tualatin
Basin has for a GOEA hotspot.lpn
