The red-throated loon sighting at Pleasant Hill Lake, Ashland/Richland County that was announced on the Bobolink area rare bird alert on 23 February, was not relocated on Saturday or today. Red-throated loons normally are not seen at Ohio in spring until mid-March. However, with the 70 degree weather and strong winds this week, possibly it was an overflight bird. Good birding, John Herman
