It was exciting to see some obvious bird movement yesterday and today. Betsy Potter noticed swans today while driving past a huge field on the east side of Maple Road between Chestnut and Nelson Roads in the Town of Wilson and called to let me know about it. Later, I counted 190 TUNDRA SWANS, 2 BLACK DUCKS, 27 NORTHERN PINTAIL, 6 AMERICAN WIGEON, 2 GADWALL, and 4 RING-NECKED DUCKS. Another flooded field on Braley Road held 2 PINTAIL and 1 GREEN-WINGED TEAL.
Our first RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD of the season arrived at our feeder yesterday.
