Sorry for the late post on this, but I just got home and saw an email from Sue James, docent at Filoli. She said she and others saw a Lewis's Woodpecker at 9:15 and 10:00 this morning on top of the 4th power pole south of the main gate/entrance to Filoli. It was pecking at both the 3rd and 4th poles. She said it wasn't necessary to go into Filoli, that the bird could be seen from Canada Road with a scope. The last time a Lewis's was seen at Filoli was on the CBC in 2000. That bird stayed around until March. Good luck.
