wow ... we criss-crossed with Jeff a couple of times yet we missed the Scoter, Red-shouldered Hawk AND the Ring-necked Grebe ... LOL ... however we did have THREE Rough-legged Hawks (dark morphed off Guild and two light morphs opposite Burke Slough), a Peregrine (off Guild) and one pretty little Bonapartes Gull at Martin's Bar ... nice seeing you again Jeff ...

White-winged Scoter (juvenile). In large raft of Greater Scaup on Columbia River just north of Whalen Road. Thanks to James Lawrence and son for getting me on the bird. Red-necked Grebe:. In slough between Burke Island and the North end of Dike road. Red-shouldered Hawk. 100 yards or so south of Whalen Rd where it crosses drainage ditch about .25 miles east of Dike Rd. Black Phoebe. At north end of Dike Rd flying around and perching on the pumping station buildings and other structures Thanks to Lyn Topinka and her good ears for locating it.
