Subject: [Tweeters] Lake Kathleen Birdwalk
I held a Birdwalk and Varied Thrush Open House: Four of us birded from
inside my house behind twitchy curtains, and after seeing five Varied
Thrush, one male came as close as 5 yards, we walked the 1.5 mile trail
around Lake Kathleen. Here's the count:

Backyard birds
5 Varied Thrush
17 Bushtits
2 Towhees
1 Brown Creeper
9 Juncos
3 Chestnut chickadees
2 Black capped chickadees
1 Northern Flicker female
1 Steller’s Jay
1 Downy Woodpecker
1 Anna’s Hummingbird

Lake walk
19 ring necked ducks
55 American Wigeon
6 Bufflehead 3 male
1 Pileated Woodpecker
1 Northern Flicker
4 Am Robins
1 Towhee
X Golden Crowned Kinglets heard but not seen
2 domestic duck that live on the lake
5 Brewer’s Blackbird
1 Crow
12 Canada Geese
X Mallard
1 Anna’s Hummingbird

Got two Lifers for our guests, and it was wonderful to share the birds I
see every day!
