Subject: [Tweeters] Gyrfalcon McChord AFB
at 0845, spectacular sighting of the gyrfalcon chasing a flock of 15 geese north toward the end of the runaway.  She nearly caught the last goose, but, was harassed by 2 raven. The ravens continued to harass the gyrfalcon for about 5-10 minutes.  Then the gyrfalcon turned its attention to 2 bald eagles and played with them for about 5 minutes.  Eventually the gyrfalcon flew back down the runaway at about 4 feet off the ground until it settled on its favorite power pole (northern most pole with cross bars).  It sit on the power pole for about 15 minutes, then, flew off towards the woods and lake off to the southeast, probably looking for more geese. What an amazing bird!
