> Hi birders!
> There was a juvenile SNOW GOOSE mid-day today at Los Capitancillos Ponds in the second pond east of Meridian. Also seen in the same general area but next to Guadalupe Creek was a male WILSON’S WARBLER very low to the ground flitting around in the low bushes. Two PEREGRINE FALCONS were also seen with one transferring its prey to the other in mid-air. Quite a sight! Later, I saw one of the peregrines in a dead tree and the second one on a power tower.
> Many of the ponds are now dry including the first two West of Almaden Expressway.
> Good birding!
