Subject: [AZNMbirds] AZ: Santa Cruz Flats, Mountain Plovers

This morning there were at least 23 MOUNTAIN PLOVERS at the Evergreen Turd
sod farm at the Santa Cruz Flats. Also present was a SNOW GOOSE. The plovers
were in the southeast quadrant bordered by Pretzer and Tweedy roads.

The "HARLANS" Red-tailed Hawk reported since 18 Nov at Curry and Greene
Reservoir roads continues. One was at the same location last winter 15
Dec-15 Mar.

I observed a total of 50 CRESTED CARACARAS in 3 locations: 35 at the sheep
farm southeast of Sunland Gin and Pearce roads; 14 in the
Baumgartner/Wheeler area; and one surprisingly at the West Coast Turf sod
farm adjacent to and immediately south of Evergreen Turf.
