Today about 10 AM there was a Osprey perched on a power pole on Neil Creek Rd. High winds at the time and at 11:45 when I drove past the site the Osprey was still there. Guess it was not interested in flying in the 25-30 mph winds. Also had 2 sightings of the Red-naped Sapsucker at Emigrant Lake, once at the liquidambar tree, on 11/6 & 7, where it is often found, and once on a tree to the south of that location. Lots of past sapsucker activity in the Deador Cedars near the playground! Also had a Golden Eagle on 11/5, Black Phoebe on 11/6.
