Found a NORTHERN PARULA along the irrigation channel east of the Grants Pass Co-op buildings out US 199. Appeared to be a male, perhaps a 1st fall bird. These warblers are pretty unmistakable, gaudy and colorful; familiar with them from birding in northern NY. This species has been removed from the State's rare bird list, however, they are not all that common west of the Cascades and more unusual on the west side away from the coast.
