Subject: [RV Birds] Hoping for a Longspur
Braved the weather this morning and went up to the mud flats at Lost Creek Lake hoping to see a LAPLAND LONGSPUR. No LALO after thoroughly checking a flock of 14 AMERICAN PIPITS for a good half hour. Other notables were a single CANVASBACK, COMMON GOLDENEYE, & COMMON LOON. Lots of BUFFLEHEADS, COOTS, RING-NECKED DUCKS & SCAUP. A few NORTHERN SHOVELERS & GREEN-WINGED TEAL. Not one goose!

Good Birding,
Janet
