I took many pictures of Cave Swallows on Tuesday and I was curious, could we get birds from both the Mexican and Caribbean races? There was much variation in richness of color on the throats of these birds. I don't think any of them were Cliffs.

Subject: Cave Swallows and Am Golden Plovers, Wrightsville Beach, NC
Hello all, about 12 cave swallows and 2 American golden plovers were seen on the north end of Wrightsville Beach just next to Shell Island resort this evening. I obtained some more good photos of the swallows that were hawking around the tall building. I suspect now is as good as time as any for someone to chase. I wager they will be around at least another day. Wonder if they are roosting on the roof overnight.
The plovers were by the inlet. Also saw about 200 tree swallows fly by the inlet.
