Subject: [LACoBirds] Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Blaisdell Park, Claremont
Hi birders,

A male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was in Blaisdell Park in Claremont this afternoon at around 5pm. This bird had a complete red throat with a think black border.

The bird was high in a bare silk-floss tree, drilling rows of wells and drinking from them. This tree is located behind the backstop of the softball field, on the eastern side of the park.

Good birding,

Dan Stoebel
