Official Counter: Rick Morrissey

Observers: Devin Kline, Ed Wanamaker, Ron Kline, Travis Rennig

Visitors:
Ron Kline was the counter in the morning, along with Devin Kline, thank you
for covering the morning flight!

Jim Funk from Emmaus, Dan Knarr from New Ringgold, and Chris Graham from
Kingston, NY. Thank you Jim, Dan, and Chris for your ‘eagle eyes’ during
the slow afternoon.

Weather:
Partly cloudy with plenty of sunshine, low temperature of 43 degrees
Fahrenheit and a high temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds were SSE
most of the day, turning South late afternoon. Wind speeds were 5-16 mph
with the higher gusts mid-day.

Raptor Observations:
There was some late morning non-migrating Bald Eagle activity of three
eagles (two adults, one immature), but they headed northeast. An adult
Bald Eagle heading northeast flew over the South look-out which pleased the
crowd, its migratory status was not mentioned which otherwise would have
spoiled the moment on a rather slow migration day.

Bald Eagle – 1140 (adult)
Golden Eagle – 1320 (Juvenile)

Non-raptor Observations:
Two Canada Geese, three Ravens, and 13 gliders which was a high count for
the afternoon counter.

Predictions:
Rain. High 64F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 2
inches of rain expected. Locally heavier rainfall possible.
