Weather: Low clouds and drizzle in the morning, followed by low clouds in the afternoon. The summit cleared for a bit late in the day, but tendrils of cloud continued to blow in front of the landscape. The wind was light and southerly, while temperatures were in the 60s.
Raptor Observations: Two Ruffed Grouse exploded from the woods, followed seconds later by a Sharp-shinned Hawk with its eyes set on Gina. After the plastic owl failed to respond, the sharpie settled on one foot on a nearby snag to fan its tail and preen.
