Subject: IBET Plegadis ibis Hegewich Marsh
Looking at a dark ibis at Hegewich Marsh on the far south side of Chicago. We think we're seeing a red eye, which would indicate White-faced Ibis, but the bird is hiding in the phragmites at the moment.

Entrance is on west side of Torrence, south of 130th. We're viewing from southwest side of marsh. Will post map on Illinois Rare Bird Alert Facebook page.
