Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Anna Stunkel

Observers: David Matson, Joe Beatty, Katie Garst, Rose Leong,
Wes Hetrick

Weather:
Strong winds were mainly from the northeast, with drizzle and rain
throughout most of the morning. The afternoon was mostly dry. Skies were
overcast with low cloud cover, and temperatures in the seventies.

Raptor Observations:
There was a nice flight today given the conditions, with a good number of
Merlins in particular. Peregrines continue to move through in strong
numbers. However, we had almost no accipiter movement. The high winds, low
cloud cover, and drizzle were keeping birds very low.

Non-raptor Observations:
There was a nice Great Blue Heron flight today, with 59 birds seen,
including a single flock of 14 birds spotted by Katie flying low over the
bay. There was a bit of warbler and blackbird movement this morning,
including a flock of several hundred Common Grackles. Two Dickcissels were
hanging around near the platform this morning, perching in the cherries and
Dogfennel.
