Hi, Janet,

Last Monday (last week) I was driving on Rockville Pike at dusk and several crows flew in front of my car. When I turned to see where they went, I saw many, many crows flying into their regular roost north of White Flint. They're back there, at least.

As sunset approached, I saw a single crow fly over. Haven't observed any large groups yet. But in a "normal" year (remember those?), wouldn't the big winter roosts have started to form by now?

Climate change certainly provides an interesting opportunity to compare the influence of day length vs. air temperature on a variety of plants and animals.
