I am also happy to report that last week I heard the “zipping” sound from our trees which I had not heard now for several years and sure enough a large flock of Siskins appeared at our seed feeders! nice to see them again after not seeing any last year.

I am happy to report that Pine Siskins have yet again roared back from another one of their periodic near extinctions in Oregon. It is astonishing that a bird can be so utterly ubiquitous one year and completely absent the next. Siskins were everywhere in large flocks yesterday. Red Crossbills were also in abundance. Hoped for vagrant passerines were not. > > Dave Irons > Beaverton, OR > > Sent from my iPhonePOST: Send your post to <obol...> > JOIN OR QUIT: http://www.freelists.org/list/obol > OBOL archives: www.freelists.org/archive/obol > Contact moderator: <obol-moderators...> >
