Visitors:
There was a great turnout for the Eastern Shore Birding and Wildlife
Festival today.


Weather:
Winds were generally from the southeast, starting off light in the morning
and becoming more moderate in the afternoon. Skies were mostly cloudy.
Temperatures were in the sixties and seventies.

Raptor Observations:
There was an excellent peregrine flight today, with most birds flying very
low and close on the bayside. The majority of peregrines were adult birds.

Non-raptor Observations:
Today we participated in the annual Big Sit, and observed a total of 54
bird species. Spring Peepers were calling on and off throughout the day.
Other observations included:

~35 Northern Pintails in a single flock
3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
1 Barn Swallow

12 Monarchs
2 dolphins (probably Bottlenose Dolphins)
