Lighthouse Point Park, New Haven, 10/7/17, 7am-4:30pm - 82 Migrating Hawks. 5 Osprey, 5 Northern Harrier (including 1 Gray Ghost), 28 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 14 Cooper's Hawk, 1 Red-shouldered Hawk, 11 American Kestrel, 7 Merlin, 3 Peregrine Falcon, and 8 Unidentified Accipiter. No Eagles. No Vultures. But 2 American Oystercatchers flew by. Thanks to Jeff Martin, Jim Cortina, Ken Merrifield, and visitors for helping with the count and supplying freshly baked brownies and banana bread.
