Subject: [CT Birds] Stratford Point-bird seed/Sparrows
Good afternoon all,
With Sparrow season starting to heat-up and the Sparrow Workshop right
around the corner, Stratford Point is currently looking for bird seed
donations. We are hoping to get a few bags of mixed seed in the next few
days to increase Sparrow presence and diversity on the property. Numbers
and diversity are currently very good here and the Feed Plot is producing
as expected but extra seed never hurts! So far this season (the past 2
weeks) we have had-
Eastern Towhee, Savannah Sparrow(+), Song Sparrow(+), Lincoln's Sparrow(+),
Swamp Sparrow(+), Junco, White-throated Sparrow and White-crowned Sparrow.

The season is young and the birding will only get better here in the next
few weeks. Also, for those who did not see the email about October hours,
the gate is open Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. If you wish to make a donation, you
can contact me directly-

Thanks!
