Observation start time: 08:00:00 Observation end time: 16:00:00 Total observation time: 8 hours
Official Counter: Ken Klapper
Observers: Dave Howe, Dylan Jackson, Paul Bourgault
Visitors: Incredible - six-hundred and two people visited the platform today. Thanks everyone for dropping by, staying a while, asking questions, sharing doughnuts, and enjoying a good laugh together (or two).
Weather: Cool and cloudless became fair and cloudless. A light WNW to NW wind all day. Temps from the upper 40s to the mid 60s.
Raptor Observations: Low numbers but decent diversity.
Non-raptor Observations: Most of the same songbirds from the last few days continued. Interesting that there were no Geese or Cormorants seen flying today. Ten Ring-billed Gulls headed WSW.
Predictions: Light north winds and maybe a few more clouds than yesterday. Maybe the lessening winds (and less westerly) will favor Carter Hill. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Ken Klapper (<kklapper...>) Carter Hill Observatory information may be found at: www.nhaudubon.org
