Observers: Bill Rasku, Mark Letizi, Greg Dysart, Rod Chase,Dave Brown,
Christine Morabito, Jack Miano, Donna Blasko with Bela, plus Steve & Kathy
Olson.

School group (400 plus?, in waves).
Also a few dozen hikers and others thru the day.

Weather:
Nice, cool start to with 48F start, blue sky only 20%
overcast, least haze than we've seen in weeks and a light
NW breeze. Temp. rose to 58F at 3pm then to 57F at close.
Wind 0-3mph then 0-5mph 'til 11am then 3-8 thru 2pm when
back to a light breeze. Direction varied hourly between N
& NW. Cumulus overcast also varied between 10 & 40%.
Only missing factor was the supply of hawks and, perhaps,
a little more wind.

Raptor Observations:
In these conditions we were hoping for bigger numbers of
OS's, SS's, & AK's judging by what has been moving north-
east of us. Also saw minor numbers (50+/-)of BW's thru
Clarry Hill & Cadillac Mt. today. Hoping Sunday to partake
of such a diet.
Todays flights: went by on both sides, low and high, near
and far, plus way too infrequently! Not as chilly as
yesterday, the observers were also warmed with good
conversations in the slow moments. Lots of 'catching up'!

BE, distant, at 12:30pm.
Locals: ad. BE (seen twice to NE, hours apart in AM).
TV's 6, RT's 7, ML's 2.

Non-raptor Observations:
Local: Common Ravens 5.
Migrating Canada Geese 755.
Monarchs: 11.

Predictions:
Saturday could be impossible (wet):
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2pm,
then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm.
Cloudy, with a high near 52. North wind 6 to 8 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 70%.

[Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 64. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph.]
