Weather:
Winds were light and variable, often from the north northeast. Skies were
basically cloudless throughout the day, with temperatures in the sixties
and seventies.

Raptor Observations:
There was good movement today, although birds were often high, far, and
spread out across the blue sky. There was a nice peregrine flight in the
evening.

Non-raptor Observations:
Palm Warblers and Northern Parulas were fairly active in the trees near the
platform this morning. Several hundred Northern Flickers were moving. Many
Monarchs were migrating, with a total of 302 counted. A Great Horned Owl
was heard calling this evening. Other highlights included:

3 Red-headed Woodpeckers
1 Common Nighthawk
1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak
1 Scarlet Tanager
1 Wood Thrush
1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

2 Gray Squirrels
