Lots of sparrow activity along the blackberry fenceline near Dayton sewage ponds this morning: WHITE-CR, GOLDEN-CR, LINCOLN’S, SAVANNAH, SONG, DK-EYED JUNCO. Among them was what sure looked like an eastside-plumaged SONG SPARROW – striping on a grayer, cleaner background, not the smudgy chocolaty local types. Makes me wonder if the fires have pushed some eastside forms westward (thinking of the interior White-br. Nuthatch at Tabor recently as well).
