Observers: Bill Rasku, Rod Chase, Bill LaFleche, Ted Mara and Marty

Visitors: pleasant talks with Mark Natichioni, Katherine Wyman, Al Johnson

Weather:
Another wonderful Aug. 24 .. uh oh, SEPT. 24. Temp 72-79 on the hill and
considerably warmer down below. Blue sky gradually filled with cumulus as a
light breeze of 5mph max (all day) shifted from NE in 1st hour to the E in
the last.
There was a very dense haze at first with visibility
2 mi.max. Vis. eventually to 5 mi. at 11am and 10 mi. at 1pm.
Great lift available again but the high temps and late
east wind just shut off the dripping hawk-faucet.

Raptor Observations:
Migrating BE, distant, 10:45.
Most flights lower in early AM, much higher later.
Local: adult BE to north at noon, RT's 7, TV's 20.

Non-raptor Observations:
Ravens 16.
Rock Pigeon close flyover, 1 chimney swift.
Monarchs 4.

Predictions:
This might not 'open the faucet':

Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually
becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
Light and variable wind ...
