Observers: Janet Kovner, Nancy Given, Rod Chase, Susan
Williamson, Gene Nichols, Bob Secatore, Kathy Chihowski,
Gene Nichols, Chris and Soheil Zendeh, Casey Lowder, Bonnie Gunn, Craig

Weather:
7am start 68F(20C) under cloudless blue sky (0% overcast
all day. Visibility 5mi(8km) thru the low haze. Wind
0-1mph(0-3kph) from NE.
10am: temp 73F(23C), Vis. now 10mi(8km) and wind to N at
0-3(0-5kpm).
12pm: wind back to NE, temp 78F(26C). Late in hour and
until end velocity was 0-3mph(0-5kph). Temp topped at 79(26C)and finished
at 78F(26C).
There was lift available all day even at these temps though not enough
raptors to step onto that elevator.

Raptor Observations:
BE distant 12:07
Flights were low early, higher as temps rose. Many
small groups were diffuse and slow to decide which way
they'd go.
11th hour saw the return of Paul Roberts 45 TV"s --
this time not to roost but rather to glide overhead
armada-style from SE to NW. Quite a treat for the crowds
and hawk watchers.
RT's: probably only a half dozen who reappeared over and
over all day. Local SS seen feeding.

Non-raptor Observations:
Not much action from non-raptors today except a few
typical chirps from the shade of the oaks - jays, towhees
and juncos.

Predictions:
Sunny, with a high near 88 ...
Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon ...
Possibly as slow as today?
