Observers: Bob Anderson, Steve Thornhill, Thuy Tran, Tim Barry

Visitors:
The annual Kiptopeke Challenge occurred today, and several teams came out
to search for species. I hope that everyone who participated had an
enjoyable day. Thanks to all who assisted with spotting.

Weather:
Winds were light and variable, mostly from the northwest in the afternoon.
Skies were clear in the morning and partly cloudy, with thin wispy cirrus,
in the afternoon. Temperatures were in the mid sixties to mid eighties.

Raptor Observations:
There was a very strong Osprey migration today, with beautiful long trails
of birds passing high overhead. At times 10-15 Ospreys passed in groups
together. It was also a great day for Bald Eagle, falcon, and Broad-winged
Hawk movement. Several large kettles of broad-wings passed overhead. Birds
were high but we had a nice backdrop of wispy clouds in the afternoon.

Non-raptor Observations:
1 Common Nighthawk
1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak
1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet (FOS)

>105 Monarchs
